He's got two new LMNOP boards coming his way and he's frothing to get back in the PIT!!! good luck with the rehab and we await your return Lad!!!

LMNOP would like to congradulate Mike Stewart for winning the IBA Arica Chilean Challenge!! at like 47 years old he's still got something left to prove!! Mike took out Hawaii's Dave Hubbard in the finals!!! we are so stoked for him as he's been after his first World Tour title since the conception of the World Tour back in 1994!!

Currently MIke is leading the IBA World tour by 430 pts! could 2010 be his year? Good luck Mike!

The much hyped South Swell of the last 10 years hit and HIT hard the West Coast of California!!
The Wedge reportedly had some 40' peaks (wave face) and unfortunately a 50 year old bodysurfer drowned in the heavy surf..
For sure bodyboarders up and down the coast enjoyed this swell. The LMNOP boys kept it local and enjoyed some SD gems!!!

2009 has been marked as a "El Nino" year where the Pacific Ocean will see higher than normal ocean water temperatures which in surfer's terms equate to HURRICANE swells for the West Coast of California!!! The last time we experienced a true El Nino year was in '97, the infamous year California was rocked with huge waves from 2 massive swells from Hurricane Guilerma and Linda!! so get your LMNOP's ready cause it's the SEASON!!!

Bud is da man! He totally dominated and had the beach cheering for him during each wave and this young Kauai Boy did not disappoint!

Bud rode his Bud Icon 42.5 CT model with double stringers for the Sandy's Pro contest and as you can see the board worked great for DK and he also did a few ARS's in his prone heats!

Derrick ripped it and made it to the finals in both Pro divisions of Handboarding and bodysurfing!!

Bud was pretty much undefeated last year where he won the DK division of the USBA Sandy's in July '08, two back to back DKS Australian comps in August '08, and he successfully defended his DK Pipeline Crown in February '09!! This time Bud is not only looking to defend his Sandy's DK crown but he's also setting his sights on the Prone division!!

LMNOP UK team rider Dan Skajarowski checked in from Ireland saying that he's been there for just over a month and has scored some epic heavy slabs on his 'e' board!! He and his brother Stef was scoring this heavy slab called Riley's when it happened!! Dan hit the bottom hard and thought he broke his leg! unable to move and too hurt to exit the water they had to call in for help! about an hour later 2 boats and a helicopter showed up to rescue the UK charger! Updates to follow!!

LMNOP Japan team rider Yusaku Kyotani had a fun Hawaiian winter season! Yusaku is back in Japan now but his other fellow team riders Chiaki Okuyama and Aki Ogura are still in Hawaii getting ready for their Women's Pipe contest at the end of the month!!

Skipp checked in and he and Hubb scored pretty much the last of the last Pipeline of the season! Maybe 1 more swell if the Hawaii boys are lucky but Wednesday would probably be the last Pipeline of any size will be seen for the 2009 winter!

Skipp and Hubb are off to the outer islands to score some North Swell + favorable SW winds so check back to see some of the photos they score!

Happy Zurowski checked in after a long day's fishing off Haleiwa on the North Shore all battered and bruised cause he said they got all bus up fishing 35 miles off the coast in rough ass 15 foot seas!! Ho but they scored!!! They caught some Aku, small Ahi, a Mahimahi and a 120 lb Marlin to help ease the sore bodies!!

The World's Deadliest Catch tv show better watch out cause here comes the Happy Go Fishing show!!

Several months ago, LMNOP team rider Leila Alli had the idea of doing a girls bodyboarding clinic! She contacted Hawaiian bodyboarder Jade Robles who put it all into motion with Kamehameha Schools (Nelz' alma mater). Jade also organizes many of the island's top women's bodyboarders to also help out like LMNOP Japan team rider, Aki Ogura!
LMNOP was proud to be able to help out with a few prizes like a LMNOP Elle donated by Lachelle Yasutake!

The Big Island boys had a sick house on the beach at Log Cabins this season! some ridiculous rent prices but for the boys it was all worth it... you jump off the back porch onto the beach looking at Logs, Keiki, Rockpiles and OTW!!!

Check out the unfortunate "other company's" broken board that the boys nailed to the side of the house!! The outer island boys are planning even BIGGER things for next season!!

Chiaki Okuyama from Yokohama, Japan as been in Hawaii training for the upcoming Women's Pipeline Bodyboard Championships! Last year Chiaki got some sick waves at Pipe and she's ready for more this year!! Good Luck Chiaki!!

We saw her the other evening with her new Elle 38" and she could not stop saying how well her board works... sweeeeet!!

Here's the wave that Skipp kissed his beloved Pipeline's sharp parts!! Skipp's been focused and doing his normal natural style thing where he's always making the difficult seem so easy. After watching almost 2 days of competition before even getting a crack at Pipeline, Skipp was overly fired up and made the mistake of going for the first wave of a set, it closed out on him, he ducked out and went over the falls and kissed it..
Stitches are out, the face is healed, the modeling career is still intact, and Skipp is ready for 2009!

Jake Stone flew the LMNOP flag for Australia and he made his fellow Aussie mates proud! The young future is 19 years old and his star is shooting straight for the top!
Pipeline is like no other wave in the world, it's so heavy and with so many nuances to this gnarly wave. Extreme confidence and experience out there is what it takes and Jake looked remarkably comfortable in such heavy conditions. Jake was definately one to watch in the earlier rounds!!
We are looking for great things from this young Aussie!

The Bodyboarder's Choice Awards and Pipeline contest wrap up party went down this weekend at Senor Frog's Bar and Grill in Waikiki and the LMNOP team represented and ran it hard all night! Skipp just got his stitches on his face out that day so he was super stoked to enjoy the night with all the whole bodyboarding scene!

What an awesome day for the DK'ers around the world! Waves were sick all day with Front and Backdoor Pipeline which resulted in amazing DK performances througout by everyone on the KNEE!!
The other finalists to join Bud was DHubb (HI) who got 2nd place, 3rd Sasha Specker (South Africa), 4th Damien Boone (HI), 5th Joe Grodzen (USA), 6th Matt Lackey (Australia).

This is how much Spencer Skipper wanted the Pipe Crown this year!!! Skipp takes a major facial to the reef on his 1st wave this morning! he paddles back out and takes more beatings with his lip split in two and he's looking like alien Predator in the movie!! He wins his heat then rushed to the hospital for 15 or so stitches to his face and lips!! He barely makes it back in time to get his jersey and paddle out for more beatings in 8-10' GNARLY powerful Pipeline!

Day 2 of the Pipe Contest went off today!! it was BIG and macking size PIpeline and Mr. Jake Stone from the Gold Coast of Australia killed his heats today! Sorry, we've been having troubles with our website and have been able to log on successfully to report on what's going on in Hawaii during the most important 10 days in bodyboarding...the Pipe contest!!
The LMNOP team did great on the day 1 of competition! Willy Petrovic has a solid first heat where he got a sick backdoor wedge and LAUNCHED it properly!
The comp is on hold until Monday / Tuesday's forecasted new swell!!

Monday for President's Day the big WNW swell hit in the afternoon and rage until the dark!! The Pipeline has AWOKEN and the contest will be ON starting at 8am sharp!

Good luck to the 144 man draw! First up will be Bud Miyamoto surfing in Round 2, Aussie kid Jake Stone in Round 3, then Happy and Willy in Round 4, and lastly, Spencer Skipper using his USAB season rankings to pull up a Round 6 seed! Come wish the boys luck!

The LMNOP Pipeline Invitational DK Pro is ready to roll with 24 of the world's best dropknee riders competing in a 6 man format at the world's most famous wave, the Pipeline!!

Our South African brahdah Billy Thiel left Hawaii and cruised up to California to hang with the boys at the ASR tradeshow. Sadly last week he had to head back to London where he'll be working his Personal Bodyguard and Security business.

Ross McBride is clearly one to watch when Pipeline is Big and Heavy!!! This guy has one of the best lefthand bottomturns in the business and his style was made for PIPELINE!! Ross takes off way too deep and negotiates the barrel like no other!
Still unclear if he's gonna make a showing on the North Shore next month for the Pipe Contest but he's been getting ready by swimming and boxing, and lately he's been taking surf trips up north to Central California to get some waves!

South Africa's Kamala Botha has been visiting Skipp for the last 3 weeks and she's wasted no time on getting barreled!!! Kamala's been cooking Skipp some healthy vegetarian meals and we haven't seen our boy look so fit and smile so much recently!!!
Kamala is going to Law School in Florida so if you see some blonde ripper chick in the waters in FL it might be her!!

Bud Miyamoto, the two time Pipeline Champ, is ready to defend his title again in February!! Hawaii has a new container of fresh boards for Christmas landing into the stores next week Wednesday, December 17th, so make sure you wait and hold out for the new colors!

Pipeline was going off last week and LMNOP's Nelz Vellocido and Spencer Skipper paddled out to some washing through 8-12' 2nd reef Pipe. when it gets this big the crowds are minimal and picking the choosing the right ones is the difference between getting the ride of your life, or your last one!
